damage control twin.... would rather die than not be around radi. charismatic and polite; good at negotiating and making small talk but he's fundamentally an introvert.
when their sister died, lis was at home and received the call from radi on the landline (radi called from the nokia their sister had recently gotten). he froze up and didn't know what to do, and was stuck listening to radi crying and asking him to help til their mom asked lis who'd called. anyway. he blames himself for not doing anything. if he'd been faster, if he'd told their mom earlier...
(not that it would have done anything. he wasn't the one who ran over their sister, anyway.)
as a whole, he just lets radi do his thing (enabler, derogatory) and if radi tells him to do something he'll listen, even if it's clearly bad for him. if it's harmful for radi, however, he'll refuse and be the most stubborn fucker you can think of.
when lis found radi ODing in the bathroom, out of some twisted form of wanting to make everything better and to be reunited with their sister again (and also not letting radi die without him), he joined him. the psychiatrists monitored him a lot more strictly than they did radi, which he was always confused about.
lis still listens to radi. he feels like if he doesn't, he'll be letting him down again, just like he did when they were eight. so when radi says he wants to start a business (so radi'll have full control over the business, that control freak, even if it's a partnership on paper with them having equal rights) he goes along with it. he's essentially a very good assistant.
lis knows how radi can get sometimes, when things don't go as intended, however good he is at hiding it. he'll take over the conversation then, letting radi recover. if radi insists on pushing himself, lis isn't above begging (or withholding sex, if necessary).
he'll stay with radi til they die. he'll make sure they die together.

- lis is short for ralis. sometimes people would nickname him 'rails' (and radi, 'off the rails'). lis would just smile at them until they got creeped out. no one's opinion matters to him other than radi's. as a consequence, he doesn't have many friends, only acquaintances.

- is the kind of person to doodle little hearts in the margins of important paperwork with r + l in them (or alternatively, little encouraging notes to radi if he knows it's something radi'll eventually look at. kind of sappy, but radi likes it... though he'll only admit it to lis.)
- their mom likes to pretend their sister never existed. lis pretends their mom doesn't exist in turn, but sometimes visits her. he gives her a monthly allowance after she retires, so he doesn't feel too guilty.
- they're both atheist.
- faithfully does something in his sister's memory every year on her birth and death dates. radi refuses to for years, but joins him after they turn nineteen. lis thinks their sister would just be happy that radi eventually shows up.
- likes being micromanaged by radi bc it means he still cares about him. doesn't really get jealous, but used to get mopey when radi would sleep around. these days, if radi does do anything, lis knows it's just for getting off or for profit, so he doesn't really care so long as he comes home to him later.
- switch!! so is radi!! lis subs more because he doesn't want radi to feel uncomfortable at all (and he has a lower libido than radi, so he doesn't have to be hard for it lmao), but when radi's all 'oh fuck today's schedule wasn't followed to the letter aaaahhhh' he'll top or power bottom so radi can relax a little.
- radi sleeps with strangers sometimes for funsies. lis... doesn't. but he's fine with it now. sometimes lis goes to visit their mom while radi's occupied (since radi won't be going anyway)
