radi and lis (twins) have the most backstory haha. my perfectionist bpd baby w shit coping mechanisms (that turned into anxiety and an obsession with planning things til they're Perfect)

their sister died when they were eight - radi was there with her, lis was at home. there was nothing radi could've done but he blamed himself anyway and went off to just. do a fuckton of unhealthy stuff (drinking, sleeping around, substance abuse; out of denial and escapism rather than any actual desire to,, uh, be sleazy??)

tried to commit at seventeen; lis found him and tried to join him (do not do this !!!!!!!!!), their mom did 'the one decent thing she's ever done' (according to radi...) and sends them to the hospital

after that radi kind of. freaked out and quit everything (with difficulty...) and, over the next few years, starts up a business w lis and tries to make it stable enough for them to be able to retire comfortably in the future.

he can't deal with losing anyone else dear to him. if this means he'll have to claw his way up the corporate ladder he'll do it. anything to stay with lis.

  • radi is short for radiet. he thinks it's a pretentious sounding name, but he likes it.
  • virgo.
  • their mom likes to pretend their sister never existed. radi HATES her for this.
  • his anxiety/bpd manifests as him wanting control over everything so that nothing unexpected (aka. his sister dying) can happen again. this does mean he gets a little overprotective of lis. on really bad days he has to plan out everything for the day including how long he'll spend on it (eg. itinerary: brushing teeth, 7:55-8:00am)
  • the biggest difference between him and vex is that vex (and verys) would betray each other to hell and back if it was for each other's overall happiness, but radi would never do that to lis. ever.
